Today I just visited my former secondary school, SMK Sultan Ismail, also known as SSI, in Johor Bahru. I wanted to collect my true SPM certificate for University admission purposes.

I was quite surprised when I rumbled around the school compound. The school has got such a big change in terms of the facilities. I could see there were renovation and construction going on at some places in the school. The headmistress (Pengetua) earns some compliments and respects from me. She really has put in some efforts in improving and beautifying the school facilities. I know some people might not like the painted color but at least it makes the school looks better and newer.

After obtaining my certificate, I met some old friends who are studying STPM at SSI. I wanted to have some chit-chat with them but too bad they were going to sit for their STPM Trial examination. I met Xian Hui, Jia Chang, Yi Xiang, Kensen, Justin, etc. They didn’t change much except Kensen has become thinner and more handsome (I am not a gay, Haha!).

I believe SSI will become much better in the next few years and I am very proud of that! This is the first time I say such words in my inner heart.

Today as usual, I opened up my Mozilla Firefox and visited few websites. I found out many people were excited over a newly released Google application, Google Chrome. Initially, I didn’t know what that was. I thought it was an advanced software that I had never seen before.

So I just followed the link left on the forum and reached the official website of Google Chrome. Then I realized that Google Chrome is simply a web browser developed by Google. At the beginning, I was thinking, “why does Google need to develop new Internet browser since it is associated with Mozilla Firefox? Doesn’t it sound a bit redundant?” Anyway I just downloaded Google Chrome and installed it on my laptop.

Other than the layout, I was not much surprised by Google Chrome. I thought it had some super advanced functions. However, Google claims that Google Chrome is much faster, easier and safer than other web browsers.

If I am not mistaken, currently Internet Explorer is the most used web browser, followed by Mozilla Firefox. Of course I would prefer Mozilla Firefox as it provides many useful plug-ins and extentions. Now I believe Microsoft is getting more concerned with the growth and expansion of Google on the Web 2.0. It is like an endless battle between the two giants in this century. ( I see Apple and Yahoo are smiling!) 

In conclusion, Google Chrome fails to impress me as much as Mozilla Firefox does. After all, Google Chrome is still in its beta stage and hopefully the ultimate version can be much better.
