BookFest At KLCC

Last Saturday, I went to a book fair called “BookFest” at KLCC with my girlfriend. Actually I wanted to study at home on that day. But my girlfriend wanted to purchase some Chinese reference books. So I have to accompany her to KLCC.
Before that, we had been to a book fair as well which was held at The Mines Wonderland. After taking bus and LRT, we managed to reach there at about 1pm. As what I expected, the place was crowded and congested with book lovers. We just went around to search for books we would like to buy.
The books there were mostly Chinese books, which were imported mainly from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Besides, there were also many English books around being sold at great discount rate. Too bad I did not have enough money to purchase all the books I wanted.
As we kept rambling around the BookFest, we came to the end of the fair and there were many people standing there. Out of curiosity, we moved towards the crowd and guess whom we saw…
Nicholas Zhang Dong Liang(Left)!!!
No wonder so many people were standing and holding cameras there. The event was organized by Besta which sells electronic dictionaries. Nicholas was the artist signed and contracted by Besta to promote its products.
Few people were selected to have a game with Nicholas on the stage. The winner was the little kid(wearing yellow shirt) beside Nicholas.
After the game, Nicholas presented a song called, “Zhi Yin Wei Ni”. The song was nice and you can watch his performance in the following video.
I captured the video and photos with my handphone and I was a bit far away from the stage. So the quality of video and pictures is not so decent.
Nicholas finished the song and he left the stage and moved to the Besta’s booth at the BookFest. So we continued to look for books. In addition, we saw two famous Malaysian bloggers selling and promoting their physical books there. They were bloggers from rawangboy.com and snowxwhite.com and they had been interviewed by Sin Chew Daily Newspaper before. If I had extra money, I would definitely buy their books.

Ez: I know you always read books that are written in very profound English.
Zachary: Haha. Of course I would rather see Jay Chou instead of Nicholas if he did come. No offense to Nicholas’ fans anyway.
Faisal: Actually I wanted to buy few books such as “Think And Grow Rich”, “Who Moved My Cheese”, “The World Is Flat”, “The Long Tail” and many more. But I didn’t have extra money to spend so I didn’t even buy one.
Teddy: Haha. You should have seen my girlfriend’s picture on the “About” page before.
Who moved my cheese is a good book. I got it on my birthday from my best friend
wah, nice Nicholas…
What the song he singing?
“Zhi Yin Wei Ni”. It’s not a new song but it’s nice.
I would like to go to a book fest too, but we do not have such things here. Maybe something like that are here antiquarians
they sell there cheap books
And it has its magic to buy an old book, somehow I like their smell
maybe it is the smell of history
