Yesterday, I went to Carrefour with my girlfriend. While we were rambling around the shops, we came to a Maxis booth. I have been blogging for quite some time and yet I still do not have a Internet connection. In order to update my blog, I have to bring my laptop to college or cafe that provides wireless Internet connection. That is why I keep asking my readers to buy me a Starbuck coffee (just joking)!

Maxis has got two products, one is the mobile phone network, whereas another one is broadband service. Since I am in need of getting a brodband, I approached one of the promoters there and asked him about the latest promotion of Maxis broadband. 

The male promoter told me that Maxis is indeed having a new promotion, called Maxis Postpaid Bolt-On Promotion. Well, you should realize that the plan is designed and catered for the Maxis postpaid users. In fact, I am a Maxis postpaid user as well so it does not cause me any problem.

The new promotion is quite attractive to me. If I sign up for this plan, I could only pay RM118 instead of RM138 every month. It means I could save RM20 every month and still use the service as usual. I wanted to register it but I realized that my Maxis postpaid account is actually a supplementary line. The Maxis account was registered under my father’s name. So I needed to call and ask my dad whether he allowed me to register it.

Too bad my father told me that he wanted to check things out properly before he allows me to register it. After all, the payment of RM118 every month is still considered as expensive when compared to the Streamyx broadband.

Some people asked me to go for the Streamyx broadband but I think it is not useful for me since I am using a laptop and I always have to bring it to other places. Besides, it is cool to have such a tiny USB modem that connects the laptop to the Internet. Hopefully I can get it soon!
