Chedet Was Banned By Blogger.com!

Chedet is a blog owned by our former Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad and you can find it at chedet.com. This blog has been very famous and popular ever since Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad started publishing on it. When I first visited his website, I found two things. The first thing was Chedet really received a lot of responses from the Malaysians and almost every blog posts there got more than 500 comments. The second thing I found was Chedet at that time was hosted on Blogger.com. Although Chedet had it’s own domain name, it was still using the blogging platform and server of Blogger.com, which is owned by Google.
If you have been following my blog, you should know that I have been recommending Wordpress.org over Blogger.com and even Wordpress.com. You can find out more about this aspect on my previous post named “Why I Host My Blog On Paid Domain And Server“. I strongly advise people to have their blogs on paid domain and hosting. This is because the free hosted blog service like Blogger.com or Wordpress.com can easily shut down your blog without giving you any prior warning if the administrators suspect that your blog infringes their terms and conditions even if your blog doesn’t!
When I first knew that Chedet was hosted on Blogger.com, I was very sure that Chedet would move to another blogging platform soon. Today morning, I just found a newspaper report regarding Chedet was banned by Blogger.com. So I just logged on to the Internet and visited the blog. Then I found the following article posted on his blog and I took the except and pasted it here.
On Friday June 19th, chedet.com was locked by the administration of Bloggers.com for what was termed as “suspected spam blog”. Following that chedet.com has not been able to publish any new posting pending approval by Bloggers.com.
Despite repeated appeals Bloggers.com have yet to “unlock” chedet.com to allow for posting of new comments. Due to this measures have been taken to migrate chedet.com from Bloggers.com in an effort to avoid further disruption, hence the new page set up.
Chedet.com apologises to all readers and commentators for the inconvenience caused. Chedet.com would like to notify readers that comments for previous postings have not been attached currently while the technical team resolves certain matters. As for new postings commentators are only required to follow the simple registration steps accordingly before submitting comments.

Apparently, Chedet has moved out from Blogger.com. I thought Chedet was moving to Wordpress.org as it is a very popular blogging platform and many politicians are actually using it. Then I found that Chedet is now using the Movable Type blogging software. Movable Type is also a good blogging software but it is not as popular as Wordpress.org.
I can see the difficulty of migrating Chedet from Blogger.com to the Movable Type blogging platform. That’s why I started my blog straight on Wordpress.org with my own domain name and web host. This can save me a lot of hassles in the future.
If you like reading my blog, please support me by buying me a Starbuck coffee so that I can use its Internet connection to update my blog. Lol!

yuen89: Yes, Chedet.com definitely needs very huge bandwidth due to its large traffic. That’s why I just wonder why he hosted the blog on Blogger at the first place.
Teddy: I have read the post before and I did leave a comment there. Haha. You are right. Politicians’ or celebrities’ blogs always receive a lot of hits.
I wonder if they earn anything from their blog?!

Hahaha. Suspected spam blog? I really feel like laughing now. xD
Haha. I think it is because too many comments are left on that blog so Blogger.com suspects it’s a spam blog.

hmm… they should come with better term next time… this one can’t really handle the truth!!!
Confusing. So, where is his new blog now? The “test” one? I wonder why blogspot banned him. The government must be the one involved as well. Just because within a month he got 1 million visitors? Lol.
Hi Faisal,
It’s nice to see you again on my blog. You can still reach his blog at chedet.com. Blogger or Blogspot (both are the same anyway) thought Chedet is a spam blog since it receives so much comments everyday. There are just too many spam bloggers on the Internet.
but if you read his blog, they are not spammers actually. but they are aggressive. i guess government is afraid of tun m’s theories and minded. hmm… there must be a reason. i bet.
There might something behind the case that you and I wouldn’t know. Hehe.
yes, like altantuya case right? we know nothing but anwar’s case now is more important than a woman who killed by a bomb? hmm… malaysia oh malaysia
Yes. Somehow there are some political factors behind all these incidents. The BN would do somthing to stop Anwar from taking over the Prime Minister. But then again, I won’t talk too much about this issue. I don’t wish to become the second Raja Petra. Haha!
Hehe yes we can’t afford to be next RPK but have you ever wondered why RPK never get jailed anymore… sued by Rosmah or Najib or even kept in ISA?
He spread some hot news… to the media. What happen?
I think he has some people behind supporting him. Otherwise he shouldn’t be so daring I guess.
