If I am not mistaken, I just got to know very few Malaysian at HELP University College. Most of the new friends or classmates I got to know are international students. I knew students from China, Vietnam, Africa, India and even Iran. It was a really cool exposure and I will meet many other international students from all over the world. On the Orientation Day, I checked through the student name list of my course and I even found Korean student in my class. I am really excited now.

Before this, I was quite disappointed as I could not get accepted by the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. I thought I could never have a chance to study with the international students. Fortunately, HELP University College has given me such a good opportunity to have so many international friends.

By the way, I will take only two subjects in this semester as this is a short semester. I will be studying IT and Entrepreneurship as well as Internet Concept and Infrastruture. These two subjects are really what I am looking forward to studying and discussing with my lecturers. You know I really like Internet business and hopefully I can achieve outstanding results in my course. I am aiming for the full scholarship of the University of Queensland.

Anyway I am going to write something about my recent news. As you can see in the title above, I am going to continue my studies tomorrow. My degree program at HELP University College commences on 8th October. Therefore, I will stay at the hostel tonight onwards. Hopefully I can get a proper Internet connection there.

I believe I can do very well in the degree program because Information Technology has been one of my greatest interests ever since I knew about it. Despite many people have misconception upon this field, I strongly believe that Information Technology will be the future trend and every industry will need IT talents.

I was quite surprised when I rumbled around the school compound. The school has got such a big change in terms of the facilities. I could see there were renovation and construction going on at some places in the school. The headmistress (Pengetua) earns some compliments and respects from me. She really has put in some efforts in improving and beautifying the school facilities. I know some people might not like the painted color but at least it makes the school looks better and newer.

After obtaining my certificate, I met some old friends who are studying STPM at SSI. I wanted to have some chit-chat with them but too bad they were going to sit for their STPM Trial examination. I met Xian Hui, Jia Chang, Yi Xiang, Kensen, Justin, etc. They didn’t change much except Kensen has become thinner and more handsome (I am not a gay, Haha!).

I believe SSI will become much better in the next few years and I am very proud of that! This is the first time I say such words in my inner heart.

So I just followed the link left on the forum and reached the official website of Google Chrome. Then I realized that Google Chrome is simply a web browser developed by Google. At the beginning, I was thinking, “why does Google need to develop new Internet browser since it is associated with Mozilla Firefox? Doesn’t it sound a bit redundant?” Anyway I just downloaded Google Chrome and installed it on my laptop.

Other than the layout, I was not much surprised by Google Chrome. I thought it had some super advanced functions. However, Google claims that Google Chrome is much faster, easier and safer than other web browsers.

If I am not mistaken, currently Internet Explorer is the most used web browser, followed by Mozilla Firefox. Of course I would prefer Mozilla Firefox as it provides many useful plug-ins and extentions. Now I believe Microsoft is getting more concerned with the growth and expansion of Google on the Web 2.0. It is like an endless battle between the two giants in this century. ( I see Apple and Yahoo are smiling!) 

In conclusion, Google Chrome fails to impress me as much as Mozilla Firefox does. After all, Google Chrome is still in its beta stage and hopefully the ultimate version can be much better. I got my A Level results last 2 weeks ago. It was not bad, just that I expected better results. So I was kind of disappointed. All these while, I have been working as a part time Internet marketer in a Kuala Lumpur company. That’s why I am still staying in Kuala Lumpur. Well, I am still doing my Internet business research and I created a niche blog for my experiment. All the best to me and I hope I can earn some money out of it. It’s fun building another self-hosted blog!

In addition, I am going to study at Help University College in early October. I will do Information Technology and transfer to the University of Queensland, Australia in the final year. Despite actuarial science was my first choice, I found myself love the Internet the most. Besides, I am offered full scholarship for the first year, meaning my first year tuition fee is waived!

It is actually a message sent by a person from a website called SynthaSite. The person is Vinny Linghams and he informed me about the website and told me that I might be interested in it. Vinny Linghams is the co-founder and CEO of SynthaSite. So I just visited the website by clicking on the hyperlink there.

Apparently, this is a new website that allows people to create websites for free. Previously, I wrote a review on a website called BlinkWeb which is another similar free online website creator. Microsoft has always been the biggest computer software manufacturer, focusing on producing operating system. “Microsoft Windows” and many applications such as “Microsoft Office”, “Windows Media Player” and so fourth have become the household names. However, Microsoft always tries to expand its business to other fields. For instance, Microsoft Xbox is challenging Sony PlayStation. Besides, Microsoft also has to face competition from other strong and established companies such as Google and Apple.

Nevertheless, Bill Gates is still the director as he is the biggest shareholder of Microsoft. If he were to sell all his shares, he would probably earn another billions of dollars in his bank.
