I Am Frustrated With Examination
Posted by Su Sheng Loong on 21 May 2008 at 04:23 pm | Tagged as: My Life
Few hours ago, I just finished my very first paper in the final examination. It was a Business Studies paper. Sometimes I got very frustrated with the examination. Frankly speaking, I love business and even Business Studies. But why am I still frustrated with it? In fact, I like to study REAL business and REAL case studies rather than the boring textbook. I just feel like want to throw the textbook from the thirteenth floor. Why thirteenth floor? Because currently I am staying at the thirteenth level of the condominium.
How I hope the examination can finish as soon as possible. Anyway, the examination ends on 13 Jun (What? 13 again? I didn’t realize that when I was writing the first paragraph). I really wish to start my Internet business soon. Now I feel as if I am stuck at the middle of the road to my success.
Many people are curious about what I am doing. I am still learning everything about starting an online business. The funny thing is I read more ebooks regarding Internet business than my Business Studies textbook even if my exam has started. I can read more than 10 ebooks or special reports on Internet business in one day but I just cannot concentrate on studying the textbook for more than 10 minutes.
I am doing a different thing now compared to any 18 year teenagers. I don’t want to study the dull textbooks again. Neither do I want to have any examinations. I just want to focus on what I want to do, that is Internet business. Many people may not agree with what I am doing now. But I will prove to them that my decision is right, absolutely right.

hehe you can quit right away if you know what you want to do… and you know what is your future. let see buffett and gates case? both quit their school and never complete. they are giants tho
but if you can’t grab any opportunity yet or can’t even see the future… better stay to where you are now and eat those text books
chin up
what course are you taking?
where ever you go there will be examinations….but then if u want to try something better by dropping off your studies i wish you all the best…
I am coolingstar9, I understand your feeling. The real business is different from the text book. But, you need to study in order to absorb the knowledge and pass the examination.
The examination is simply want to test how much you grasp the knowledge.
Please work hard for it and next time you still have the ample chance to experience the ” real business world ”
wish your examination with flying colour, have a nice journey.

Faisal: I really wish to become one of them. Mark Zuckerberg is my role model nowadays. He also drops out from college and now he is one of the youngest billionaires in the world.
EliteVillain: I am taking Cambridge A Level course. Actually after this examination my course will be completed. I don’t intend to drop out from college now. But I just feel frustrated studying textbooks and having all sort of examinations.
coolingstar9: Thanks for visiting my blog. I think the examinations do not test you on how much you can grasp the knowledge, but how good you are at memorizing the facts! That’s why I am quite disappointed with the education nowadays.
Teddy: My lecturers also told me the same thing. I admit that I learn many business fundamental knowledge from the textbooks. But sadly in the real business world, these theories can hardly be applied.
Wannabe Economist: Do you agree that academically smart people will always be employed by people who do not excel in their studies?
Zachary Teng: Thanks for being my partner in Internet marketing. How I wish I could finish my examination as soon as possible!
Hehe, I know the feeling but unlike your course most of what I learn comes from textbooks. Good thing business is flexible. xD
Anyway, you should decide what you want to do. You know we’ll support you any way we can. >=D
If you are frustrated with examination, then do not bother to take it.Just a waste of time and money.Future is not as smooth as you think especially in business environment,as theory cannot really match with the real situation. You are still young, please consider throughly before you make any decision.
Ez: Thanks for giving me your support. By the way, is “Ez” your new initial?
Wong: Thanks for giving me your advice. I agree with what you said. Anyway I will do my best in this final examination and then only focus 100% on business.
No offence to you for my previous comment.
Business related field is one of those fields that involve risk and vary from time to time. There might be textbook related how a business is done but as a matter of fact experience itself is a textbook for you.It differs quite a lot from science as there is no such thing as sodium plus chlorine to give you sodium chloride in a business environment. You are an entrepreneur-to-be.Kudos,you are already one step ahead of everyone who wants to be in internet business.
I myself is very interested in internet business and consider look for more of it.Always keep your website up-to-date with the internet business information.
